The Wireless-G board on my 5 year old laptop computer failed and a replacement board was too expensive. I found this PCMCIA notebook adapter from a web search. It's a great solution for around $20.
got authorization for RMA. New card out of box was defective. After diappointing start, replaced card works. RMA proceedure very confusing, and overly comlicated. After several sessions with customer service(). reps. Replacement card installed, and WORKS. Lost almost 3 weeks of use.
I hadn't yet installed this adapter when I had to go in the hospital. The laptop and adapter were brought to me there, where I ran the CD and had it installed and working in minutes, without a hitch.
Even having given my call back telephone number, no call back was made to continue the problem solving measures. I have been unable to get this product to work. Lynksys must create a simpler means to resolve issues. The phone assistance connecting me to an overseas problem resolution site was unable to resolve issues. After 30 to 40 minutes attempting to resolve technical and language problem, the line would go dead. No thanks to buying another product from this company. I would not recommend this product, unless you have the skills to reolve your own issues.
It wouldn't connect to ANY wireless networks after installing the appropriate driver from the Linksys website. Straight up rip off.
